David James Tyrrell, 49, passed away June 8, 2010 in an accident at the Kasilof River, Kenai Peninsula, AK. He was born to Garrett and Helen Tyrrell March 31, 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA. David graduated from Arlington High School of Arlington, WA in 1979. Serving the Lord Jesus was his passion. He worked on the mission field in Mexico for 5 years. He then became an electrician. David also enjoyed fishing, snow skiing, trains, model railroads, music and cheering for the Seattle Mariners. He was a dependable, caring and loving son and brother. Preceding David in death was his father Garrett Tyrrell. Surviving him are his mother Helen Tyrrell of Arlington; siblings, Garrett (Lori) Tyrrell of Arlington, Libby (Tom) McLaurin of Bothell, WA, Connie (Bruce) Grandy of Burlington, WA, and Anita Tyrrell of Arlington; nephews, Brandon Grandy, Joseph Tyrrell, John Tyrrell, Garrett ‘DJ’ (Kumari) Tyrrell, David McLaurin, Drew McLaurin; nieces, Erin Grandy, Sarah Tyrrell, Ruth Tyrrell, Mary Tyrrell, Brenda (Tim) Kinney, Michelle Tyrrell, Nicole Spencer; great-nephews, David ‘GJ’ Tyrrell, Nathan Kinney; great-nieces, Esther Tyrrell and Shiala Smith. A viewing will be held Friday, June 18, 2010, 12:00-7:00 p.m. at Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington, WA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010; 1:00 p.m. at Atonement Free Lutheran Church, 6905 – 172n St. NE, Arlington, WA.
