RAMONA NUNEZ-FAJARDO DE JANICIJEVICH
Ramona Nunez-Fajardo De Janicijevich, born April 3, 1955 in El Caliche-Manoguayabo (suburb of Santo Domingo), Republica Dominicana, and passed away courageously October 14, 2021--the day of her 26th wedding anniversary. Loving daughter of her late father Juan De La Cruz Nunez, and, mother Eudocia Fajardo-Soriano. Ramona epitomized agape--unconditional love--for her entire family, and is survived by, son Alejandro, husband Mark, brothers and sisters Juan, Jesus, Nino, Negro, Victor, Ines, Jose, Luis and Nilda.
Ramona loved and lived her Catholic faith that was instilled by her parents, She always radiated kindness helping others in need or those who were vulnerable with food, shelter and her warm and friendly personality and hospitality.
Ramona came to the United States in 1984 and first worked as a live-in nanny, then in the catering business and other positions in retail. Her passion was baking and catering where she worked for Occasions Catering at large and important events such as the Congressional Black Caucus. She loved traveling, especially to visit her Republica Dominicana.
Son Alex and his close friends helped Ramona pass her U.S. Citizenship tests in the spring of 2008. She sacrificed and persevered becoming a proud American citizen in August of 2008.
Visitation is at Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington, Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Catholic Funeral Mass is at The Cathedral of St. Thomas More, Arlington, Virginia, Saturday, October 23, 2021, 12:00 PM Noon.
Ramona Nunez-Fajardo De Janicijevich nació Abril 3, 1955 en el Caliche de Manoguayabo. Partió hacia la casa del señor el 14 de octubre del 2021 el mismo día en que cumplía 26 años de casada. Hija amada de su padre Juan De La Cruz Nunez y de su madre Eudosia Fajardo Soriano.
Ramona siempre brindo un amor incondicional para toda su familia el cual aun perdura atraves de su hijo Alejandro, su esposo Mark, sus hermanos y hermanas, Juan, Jesus, Nino, Negro, Victor, Ines, Jose, Luis y Nilda. Ramona amó y vivió su fe católica la cual fue inculcada por sus padres. Ella siempre se caracterizó por su gran bondad, ayudando a los más necesitados. También por su calurosa personalidad y hospitalidad.
Ramona vino a los Estados Unidos en 1984. Gracias a la ayuda de su hijo Alex y su mejor amigo, Ramona logró hacerse ciudadana en el 2008 de lo cual estaba muy orgullosa por su perseverancia y los sacrificios que tuvo que hacer para lograrlo.
Su primer trabajo fue de niñera. Después trabajó en lo que realmente siempre ha sido su pasión desde pequeña en repostería y cocina. Le encantaba viajar. Especialmente a su tierra natal República Dominicana.
Ramona fue inmensamente querida por todo el que tuvo la dicha de conocerla. Dejó muy bonito recuerdo para todos sus familiares y amistades.
