Phillip Leslie Hughes Sr.

Phillip Hughes Sr. “Les/Pappy” (age 82), a retired Prince George's County Firefighter peacefully passed away at home on March 31, 2018. Loving husband to Joan Hughes and father to Phillip Jr. (Andrienne), Sherri Deditch (John), Steven, and John. He also has 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, April 3rd from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and then again Wednesday, April 4th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA. The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 5th at 11:30 am. Interment to immediately follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in honor of Phillip to St. Jude’s Children Research or the Arlington Firefighters Benevolent Fund.
