Patricia Marie Dowd

Pat was born in Worcester, MA daughter of the late Edmund F. and Mabel F. (Macomber) Dowd. She is survived by a brother, Frederick Dowd, and his wife Kathy of Auburn, MA; long-time friend Barbara Gallagher of Alexandria, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

Pat is predeceased by three brothers, Edmund F. Dowd, Thomas F. Dowd Sr. and Francis X. Dowd: four sisters, Virginia Axton, Eileen Scopetski, Mary Dowd and Margaret Lovely.

Ms. Dowd graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Worcester class of 1955 and attended Trinity Washington University. She worked as a stenotype court reporter on Capitol Hill and in private practice.

Pat was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church where she volunteered in several capacities including Matthew 25 Thrift Shop and the Food Pantry. She could often be found enjoying time playing the guitar, keyboard or dulcimer, participating in musical choral groups, and working on a new painting.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM on Thursday, October 24 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 2700 South 19th Street, Arlington, VA. 22204
