Juanita Menciano Fadul, 98, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, at Virginia Hospital Center, in Arlington, Virginia. Juanita Fadul was born on May 6, 1926, to Marcos Menciano and Paciencia Vergana in Manila, Philippines. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rafael Ocampo Fadul, one sister and six brothers. A younger sister, Amelia Menciano is a surviving sibling. Juanita is survived by her son, Edgardo and his wife, Mary Anne; daughter Evelyn and her husband Douglas Turnage†; daughter Sr. Mary Raphael, MC; son Eric and his wife Aimee; son Rafaelito and his wife Marie Jo; and daughter Elizabeth; grandchild Jonathan, his wife Regina and two great grandchildren Julian and Jason; grandchild Philip and wife Jania, and three great grandchildren Isaac, Marcus and Ronan; and grandchildren Kenneth and Catherine.
Juanita Fadul is a known to be a Marian devotee, an ardent devotee of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. She prayed the rosary daily, and made level best efforts to attend Mass every first Friday of the month.
Juanita attended Far Eastern University in Manila, where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Accountancy. At age 26, she married an up-and-coming attorney, Rafael Ocampo Fadul on December 30, 1951, and settled in Quezon City, where they started a family. In the late 1960s, she emigrated to the United States, followed shortly thereafter by her husband and children, settled in Arlington, Virginia, where they established roots for the Fadul family.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1910 No. Randolph Street, Arlington, VA 22207
A graveside blessing will follow at 12:30 at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd., Arlington, VA 22201
