William Curtis Wood of Fort Worth TX passed away Sunday, April 14th at home. He was born April 15th, 1922 in Joshua TX. After graduating High School, William spent time with the Civilian Conservation Corp before enlisting in the Navy to serve during World War II. William was married to Letha Dauphin in March 1946 after meeting on a blind date. They recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. He had a 38 year career as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service before retiring in 1987. William enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and his church friends. He and his wife were faithful members of the East Meadows Baptist Church for many years and were recently attending Trinity Christian Church. William is survived by his wife, Letha, his brother Bill Wood, two daughters and their husbands, Kaye and Carey Froelich, Gale and Gary Kennedy, a son and his wife, Curtis and Debbie Wood, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday April 21st from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home on Davis St in Arlington TX. A memorial Service will be held in William’s honor Monday Morning, April 22nd, at 11:00AM at the Northwest Christian Church, 1001 N. Davis St, Arlington TX.
