He was a true foodie at heart. He enjoyed patronizing local restaurants, getting to know the staff and owners, and supporting local businesses. His willingness and excitement to try new foods led him to many new experiences that he enjoyed with this wife. In the pursuit of good food, Bill and Charlie traveled around Texas and adventured on cruises together. While he loved trying new foods, his mother’s Swedish meatballs were his lifelong favorite.
Bill fancied himself a photographer and did crazy, creative things with his photography. Introducing him to digital photo editing brought a whole new level of cleverness. He would take every day photos and transform them into giggle generating pieces of work. Along with photography, he was a fan and follower of fishing and flying.
Bill was a fantastic story teller often spinning stories and creative narrative while just people watching. He loved to make people laugh and often recounted exaggerated stories of when his children were young and crazy things they did. Conversations with Bill often went something like “Dad, I’m hungry” to which he would respond “Nice to meet you, hungry. I’m Dad.”
