Memorial services for Vincent Francis Galante, of Arlington will be 5:00 pm, Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Creative Arts Theatre & School, 602 E. South Street, Arlington, Texas 76011. Mr. Galante passed Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in Arlington at the age of 80. Private family inurnment will be at the DFW National Veterans Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Moore Memorial Funeral Home of Arlington.
Vincent Francis Galante was born May 1, 1934 in Harlem, New York to Leo Galante and Mary Raymondo Galante. He grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey where he graduated from high school. After graduation he attended MIT for a short period of time and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from UT Arlington. Vincent married Regina Marie Maggio in 1964 and they shared 50 years before his passing. He spent several years as a Formula race car driver which he loved with a passion. Vincent worked for Raytheon (which later became L3) as a technical writer, and retired from L3. He loved art and photography, played classical guitar, and was very active in community theatre.
Survivors include his wife Regina Galante of Arlington, daughter Donna Hollman of Arlington, son, Kenneth Galante and his wife Kristina of Arlington, daughter Jenine Galante-Holland and her husband Jeffrey of Dallas, one brother, Salvatore Galante and his wife Clara of Pennsylvania, three grandchildren, Douglas Hollman, Heather Hollman and Christopher Hollman, and one great-granddaughter, Jackie Hollman.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Create Arts Theatre & School, 602 E. South Street, Arlington, Texas 76011 or the national Alzheimer’s Association.
