It is with great sadness that the family of Simon Earl Horn of Arlington, Texas, announces his passing, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the age of 94 years. He was born in Magnolia Springs, Texas on June 17, 1928.
Earl was married to Luise Belzner Horn on September 5, 1953. He was US Army retired (28 years), had a career in Personnel Management and created several companies beginning with Respiratory-DME Co. - Medical Staffing Company. He was a member of Rotary, Ft. Sill FCU Board of Directors (1960s) and had a passion for traveling with and spoiling his wife, Luise, playing SkipBo and Scrabble, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Earl will be lovingly remembered by his children, Edith (Roger) Byrne, Jeffrey (Teri) Horn, Sandra (Anthony Sr) Moffa, and Brian (Sylvia) Horn; by his eleven grandchildren, Kaye, Allen (Sallie), Christina (Poyan), Jeffrey (Sarah), Andrea, Anthony, Jonathan, Catherine, Simon, Samuel and Emma; and his great-grandchildren Jessica, Denton, Sebastian, Savannah, Cara, Ariana, Jeffrey, Cyrus, Aleena and Peter; and by his sister, Mrs. Linnie Etheridge. Earl will also be forever remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. He was predeceased by the love of his life, best friend and wife of over 65 years, Luise Horn; his parents Simon Webster and Artie Mae Horn, sisters Ouida Nowlin, Nova G. Horn, and brothers Kenneth and Robert D. Horn.
In addition to flowers, the family requests donations be made to Advent Lutheran Church in Earl Horn's honor.
A celebration of Earl's life will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, Arlington, TX.
Interment will follow in the family plot in Magnolia Springs, Texas. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Earl to Advent Lutheran Church.
