Mrs. Jackson was born on December 24, 1948, in Boley, Oklahoma to Rev. Calvin B. Nichols Sr. and Ruth Esther Nichols. Her parents and three siblings, (Calvin B. Nichols, Jr., Wanda R. Cunningham, and Patricia N. Jarrett) preceded her in death. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was an active member in her church.
Sheryl graduated from Boley High School and attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She united in holy matrimony to the late Edwin Jackson in March 1983 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sheryl especially loved to fish and was a very adept fisherwoman.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her son Dr. Dana Nichols (Amy), Mission Viejo, California, God-daughter Joyce Angimah. Grandchildren: Christopher Nichols, Ryan Nichols and Panasha Angimah. Siblings: Janice (Arthur) Mann, Las Vegas, Nevada, Dwight Nichols, Columbus, Ohio, Pamela Valentine (Ronald), Lewisville, Texas, Michael Nichols, Edmond, Oklahoma, Phyllis Sammons (Paul), Charlotte, North Carolina and Karen Nichols, Fort Worth, Texas, and many relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A committal service will be held at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.
