Richard Rolland Roach

Richard grew up in Strawn, Texas where spent a lot of time with his father and his pet pony. He was raised Baptist and graduated from Strawn High School. Richard was very popular in school, playing on the football team and participating in ROTC.

Richard attended Tarleton State University where he studied engineering. He spent most of his working career working as a Quality Control Supervisor for Bell Helicopter from 1960 to 1993 before becoming a business manager for his family business in Strawn, Texas. Richard enjoyed fishing as well as hunting deer and turkey. He also enjoyed western dancing with his wife, Vivian. Richard was well loved by his family and his neighbors. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Richard is survived by his daughter and caretaker, Diane Bramett; his grandchildren: Dustin (Jessica) and Danielle (Junior); his great grandchildren: Abby, Mackenzie, Lillian, Kayden, Jaxon, Issac, and Olivia; and his siblings: William and Sherry. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Vivan; by his son, Larry; and his brother: Charles.

A visitation for Richard will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 3:00-5:00pm at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:00am in the South Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012. Burial will follow at approximately 1:30pm in Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn, Texas located just north of the Dollar General at 611 Grant Ave, Strawn, TX 76475.
