Richard (Dick) Alton Jeske of Arlington died Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Mansfield. He was born April 12, 1935 in Priddy, Texas, the son of Edward Jeske and Bertha Schulze Jeske. He was married to Jo Ann Kopp Jeske on September 4, 1954 in Priddy, Texas.
He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy. He graduated from Priddy HS and The University of Texas in Austin and served in the U.S. Army.
He and Jo Ann moved to Arlington, Texas in 1962 and raised their two sons, Richard, Jr. and Timothy. He worked as an electrical engineer on the autopilot, guidance and control team for LTV Missiles Division, retiring after 31 years. He enjoyed coaching his boys in youth baseball and football, ranching cattle and goats at his ranch in Priddy and playing bridge and golf. He was active in church his whole life, teaching Sunday School and attending bible studies.
After retirement, he and Jo Ann traveled and spent time in their RV in the Rio Grande Valley and Ruidoso, NM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Edward Jeske, Jr., LaVerne Williams, Bettie Williams and Robert Jeske. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, sons Richard Jr. and wife Jerri, Tim and wife Kim, grandchildren Brent Jeske and wife Jessica, Austin Jeske and wife Kortni, Jamie Kehlenbeck and husband Chris and Eric Jeske, and great-grandchildren Brucks Jeske, Victoria Jeske, Madison Jeske, Clara Kehlenbeck and two more expected this spring. Also sister-in-laws Janice Jeske and Frances Kopp.
A committal service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
