Ralph was born in Trenton, NJ on May 6, 1947 to Mary Staurt Little and Ralph Leroy Ryman, Sr. After graduating from Northwest Missouri State College in 1969, he worked for the JC Penney Co. in Kansas City, MO. as a general merchandise manager. In 1982 he was appointed VP of Sales at Prince Gardner Leather Goods in St. Louis, MO. Prince Gardner was purchased by Tandy Brands Accessories in 1994 in Arlington, TX and Ralph was appointed Executive VP of Sales. Ralph became a liver transplant survivor in 1998. In 2006 he joined Rosetti Handbags of NY as Managing Director to launch a Texas-based accessory division. In 2010 he went to work for Dezine News in Dallas, TX as VP of Sales. He then worked for Acrylic Source+ in Arlington, TX until his retirement in 2021.
Ralph was a man of faith in God and a parishioner at St. Patrick Cathedral in Ft. Worth, TX. He had a passion for making lifelong friends and keeping those connections strong through regular calls and emails. He was a kind and generous man, genuinely valued and loved by his family, friends, co-workers and neighbors over the years. Know that he loved all of you. He was our rock, in so many ways. We will hold him in our hearts today and always through our memories of the love, care, joy and laughter he shared with us all.
Ralph will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Gil Ann; son, Robert of Arlington, TX; daughter, Elizabeth (Ryman) and husband, Robert Maddox of Duncanville, TX; sisters, Edith (Ryman) Stowers of Leawood, KS, and Chris (Ryman) and husband, Doug Fellers of Broken Arrow, OK; nephew, Ridgley Willis and wife, Stephanie of Kansas City, MO; and niece, Amie (Willis) and husband, Shawn Brigance of Leawood, KS; as well as, great-nieces and nephew and their children.
There will be no memorial at the funeral home, so in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to www.unos.org (United Network for Organ Sharing).
A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., at the Ryman home. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1206 Throckmorton Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Inurnment will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
