Roy Senior worked on airplane engines during the war, both in California and Fort Worth.
Mildred served The Lord musically, playing piano for Terrace Acres in Fort Worth.
Wyman, Lloyd's younger brother and only sibling, was exceptionally athletic in addition to being blessed musically. He was well known as a racer on Team Kawasaki and also shared a love of music, writing arrangements for his high school pop quartet.
Lloyd started his musical career arranging music for his high school stage jazz band, in which he played piano. He was in the first graduating class of Brewer High School in White Settlement.
After graduating from Hardin Simmons University, Lloyd met Molly Ellis at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned his Masters of Music Ministry after Molly earned her Masters of Music Conducting. They were married on August 7, 1964.
For a few months, Lloyd served as a typist in the Army ROTC Adjutant General Corps.
Lloyd was called to the music ministry where he served The Lord in several Baptist churches, notably in Thomaston Georgia, Travis Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, First Baptist Church of Aiea in Hawaii, and First Baptist Church of Kenedy. He also ministered in retirement at First Hurst in the choir, drama and handbells.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of fifty years, two sons, David and Mark, and nine grand children. He passed away at 9:49 am on October 8, 2014.
Family and Friends may pay respects at the Moore Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in Moore Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 2 pm, followed by the interment at Moore Memorial Gardens.
