Mary Heflin, 89 of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away on. 8/6/2023. She was born in Magdalena, New Mexico on April 19, 1935. She was married to Ace Allen Peoples, whom they had two kids Janell Peoples (Ford Became her Married last name) and Larry Allen Peoples. Later in life she married a second time to the love of her live Dan Heflin in the Summer of 1996.
Mary Helfin spent her time working most of her life as a seamstress, and for the last part of her life she was a Jailor at Dallas County Jail. She had a passion for life, as well as traveling, being with family, and playing cards.
She was proceeding in death by her dad, Lee Otis Waggoner, her mother Susan Dickinson Waggoner, her two brother Leo Rufus Waggoner and Fred Franklin Waggoner, her two sisters Edith Fern Waggoner and Netty Vernell Cooper, as well as her love of her life Dan Helfin. As well as her best friends Leona Carter and Polly Turner.
She was survived by her sister Georgia Jarvis, and her daughter Reba Jarvis. As well as her daughter Janell Ford, and Son Larry Allen Peoples. Her Grand kids, Timothy Joseph Ford, and Robert Lanny Ford Jr (his wife Misty Anne Ford). Her Son Law, Robert Lanny Ford Sr, her great grandkids Shelby Daine Ford and Sydney Ryann Ford. Also survived by her is numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 am on Friday August 11, 2023, at the Moore Funeral Home @ 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
