Marilyn Lucille Jones Meador, 71, of Arlington, Texas, died peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2016, after a long illness. She was born January 19, 1945 in New York City, to Agnes Lucille and Frederic Tracy Jones.
After growing up primarily in Houston, Texas, Marilyn married Robert Stogsdill and bore two children. She was a single mom for more than 25 years until remarrying Donald Paul (Pete) Meador in 2005. She was an executive assistant, retiring from SafeHaven of Tarrant County in 2013. She was a faithful believer all her life, an advocate for women’s rights with a servant heart, and a gentle spirit. She was a member of First Baptist Church Arlington and the Etcetera Sunday School class.
Marilyn is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by husband Pete; daughter Tracy Stogsdill Johnson (Keith) of Arlington and son Trent Robert Stogsdill (Kerry) of Rockville Centre, New York; daughter-in-law Karen Meador Brown (Daren); grandsons Benjamin Keith Johnson and Duncan Gabriel Brown; granddaughters Katherine Grace and Elizabeth Clare Stogsdill; sister Karen Jones Mullikin of Arlington; niece Mary Mullikin Rheaume (Jason) of Marietta, Georgia; and grand niece Ainsley Leigh Rheaume.
