Kenneth Ronald Blessing was born on February 29, 1952 to Kenneth and Ethel Blessing. Yes, Ron as he was affectionally known, was a famous Leap Year Baby. As a child, once he got over being upset at his birthday only being celebrated once every 4 years and realized that he would get to celebrate his birthday on 2 days of each year, February 28th and March 1st, he settled right down. He decided he was one dang lucky kid, 2 birthday parties and 2 sets of presents.
Ron had many talents and hobbies. He loved recalling the memories he made with his father while living in California and their many outings in his father's boat. He and his mother had a wonderful son / mother relationship. His parents were very loving but stern at the same time, raising Ron with the many fine qualities he possessed throughout his life; Manners, Morale, Kindness, Compassion and Respect for others.
Ron achieved many accomplishments in his short 72 years on this earth. His most prized and cherished accomplishment was when he received his Private Pilot License. Ron really disliked flying without himself being the pilot or co-pilot. He took his pilot training education very seriously. Ron said any time he had to fly anywhere, he found himself glancing upward above his seat to check various controls as the plane took off and landed.
Ron worked in several different professions, in all of which he excelled as a valuable, well-liked and respected employee and co-worker.
Ron's passing has left a void and a big empty space in the lives of many. Ron is pre-deceased by his parents, Kenneth R. Blessing and Ethel G. Blessing, Maternal and Paternal Grand Parents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ron's survivors include: His lifelong friend Rickey Chaplin of Grand Prairie, TX, Caring Neighbor Juan C. Torres of Fort Worth, TX, Cousins Patty Bingham, Pasadena, TX and Melinda T. McConnaughy and husband Shawn of Fort Stockton, TX as well as numerous other cousins throughout the U.S.A.
