Julie Crotty Landry was born on February 15, 1926 in Falmouth, Kentucky. She was the last of seven children born to her parents. She married the love of her life, Lawrence L. Landry, II in 1956 and remain married for 45 years until his death in March of 2001. Julie graduated in 1947 with her Bachelors of Arts from Mount Saint Joseph's University in Cincinnati, OH. She began her lifelong career of teaching English in the Cincinnati schools until she and her husband relocated to Arlington, Texas. Once in Texas, she taught English for the Fort Worth Independent School District at both Polytechnic High School and Eastern Hills High School. Julie was a founding member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Arlington and a lifelong Democrat and would proudly tell you so! She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Landry, II, her son Lawrence L. Landry, II, her parents and six siblings. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas.
