To Brent:
I knowing it will be hard this Christmas season, but know that she is and will always be watching over you and loving you. Keep the memory of her alive by just being you because that's what she loved about you. You will be with her in glory again.

To Brent- I knew you and Joy back in 1976, you and Mike Campbell entered the USAF together on the buddy system- I was looking through some old Airforce papers and found your name and looked you and Joy up on facebook, so sad to find you have lost your best friend- my heart was so touched and sad - I only wish that I had taken the time to seek you both out before now, I loved Joy, she was so pure and sweet, while I was the bad girl !! she always kept me in line while you two guys were away ! She will be missed, may you find peace in time to let go and feel her spirit when she comes to visit you as she will. I live in Dallas, Mike lives in Mansfield- unlike you two, our love was not as strong and we parted ways after 24 yrs of marriage, but we remain friends, I know the love you felt for Joy, I saw it up close and personal so many years ago- Jan Campbell and Mike Campbell

Joy was the sweetest lady who graced us with her kindness in  training teachers and always so helpful. Laughter and good times. Heaven definitely received an Angel.

Mrs.joy when I started working in children palace, the first time I seen you, you had a yellow dress and a white hairband, you look so bright and pretty like you're fixing to make a commercial of something to bake.you were always so kind to me and never came to work complaining about anything. One day I seen the canoes on top of your truck and I ask youif you like canoeing.i told you, you are so brave to do that. Well mrs. Joy I better stop because I dont thimk I can write six years of your life here. Thanks for always inviteing me to church, because you knew I liked joel Olsen and your pastor its his brother. I will truly miss you, I still can't believe it, but God got our lives in his hands.God miss you he wanted you back home. ?

I had the blessing of knowing Joy my entire life. My parents and Brent and Joy would always "drag" me along on family camping trips to places like Big Bend National Park, the Jacksfork River in Missouri, and even the Colorado National Monument. I always welcomed Joys happy attitude on those trips because she was the "cool" adult. I was too young to know how lucky I was to spend my childhood that way, but now those are some of my fondest memories! Brent and Joy were there with my parents when I drove off to college for the first time. Joy was one of the most kind hearted people I have ever met, and I feel lucky to have spent so many childhood vacations with her and Brent! Her name truly suited her- because she brought happiness to every single person she ever met.

Joy, I was blessed to meet you 7 years ago. You are one of the sweetest people I have ever met and this earth is not the same without you. I'll miss your Facebook entries and all of the wonderful scripture passages. I know you have found joy in Gods loving embrace and I pray for strength for your family, you are well and truly loved.

I will remember Joy with her sweet lilting laugh, smile, twinkle in her eyes and spirit of adventure. And her loving way with her family and friends. She gave my brother, her husband, many wonderful years and was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by many.

Words cannot express the blessings of Joy's love and life in our family. Her sparkle is forever etched into my heart, so much more than a brother's wife. Heaven called for more warriors and now she's along-side the Saints. Those left behind are crushed at losing Joy but we cling to our assurance in Christ, knowing we will see her again.  We will continue lifting up Brent and loved ones in prayer, knowing God is with them during such a difficult time and forever.

I did not know you but I know your son and family and know that God will continue to draw them close to Him because of your life and example .  Praying for your friends and family.  Rest in peace, safe in His arms.  All those who know Him will see you again someday.

Joy touched the lives of so many people. I was honored to get to be one of those lives she touched. She was always there with an understanding heart and encouraging words. I will never forget all of our talks about the things of God and what he was doing in our lives. I will cherish those memories forever.  I know that I will see you again. Brent you are in my thoughts and prayers.

You were such a woman of God. I remember our many conversations when I was younger about Jesus and going to church and spending weekends and Holidays at your house playing guitar hero and rock band. I have wonderful memories that I will cling to and I know everyone else will too. I am so very sad that you have left us here but so very happy because I know that you are with Jesus and are sitting with your parents and grandpa. Derek and I wish so much that we could be there but you know that we are there in our hearts. I will see you again <3

To my new friend Joy.  You gave me a new sense of my faith.  In bad times you lifted me up just by seeing how you faced each day.  Your name says it all..."Joy", because that's what you brought me and everyone you touched.
I know that the Lord welcomed you into His loving arms and you are now with Him in glory.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Joy was a sweet, sweet lady. She only saw the good in people never any bad. She gave me the job I still have today, and that was 10 years ago. She will be missed.
