As a child she lived in England and Hawaii, but spent most of her life in Texas, until she moved to Florida with her husband, Dee, in their R.V. in April, 2003. She wasn't a tall person, only 5ft 1, but PASSIONATE about everything in her life! People PAID ATTENTION TO HER! she was proud of being a triple LEO FIRE SIGN. She had wonderful leadership qualities all her life. Janice LOVED family Life! She was a great listener, as well as a teacher about.....LIFE and philosophies. SHE CERTAINLY HAD A WAY WITH WORDS! She was blunt, outspoken, lived the "beat of her own drum and heartbeat." Always described as UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT!
Janice graduated from Arlington HS in 1962 and went to college at UTA for a year, and in later years, semesters at Junior Colleges. She married John Williams, father of her ONLY CHILD, Rhonda, in 1956. Divorced in 1968. She remarried in 1970 to a wonderful man and step father to Rhonda, Ron Eddins. She worked at a variety of jobs, making her own money since age 10...babysitting , yard care, dime stores, 6 Flags Over Texas, then Texas Instruments, many office/secretary jobs, printing companies, flea market dealer, house cleaning co. owner, bartender, real estate agent, working over 40 years by the time she retired at only 50, due to health and disabilities. However, had a busy, full life. Janice LOVED to travel and meet people of every race, religion, walk of life, and has a wide variety of friends. She loved to party! To dance! And was a belly dancer in her 50's, a performance on stage. She loved to read, write, teach women's groups, help lead PAGAN CIRCLES, read Tarot cards/palms, loved drum circles, gardening, animals ESPECIALLY CATS, nature, FAMILY, and being a creative free spirit, ADVENTUROUS.
She also loved the Harley biker world and had 13 tattoos, leather patches, rode Harleys, and her biker brothers and sisters renamed her "Gypsy" as she also read Tarot cards, palms and traveled.....so much. She often wore bandanas, fringe and LIVED THE LIFE OF A GYPSY! She lived the hippie commune life in younger days, leading or joining protestors for a BETTER WORLD! At the time, she was tine, size 5, with long black hair to her waist, and flashing green eyes, and a winning smile!
In her later years, she preferred a simple R.V. lifestyle! Our Gypsy will be missed by all that truly knew her. She is now with MOTHER GODDESS.
Those left to cherish her memory are: daughter; Rhonda K. Williams Besst, grandchildren; Chad and Chelsea, along with a host of friends.
