Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013 at Fielder Road Baptist Church,
2011 S. Fielder Road, Arlington, TX 76013. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013
at Moore Funeral Home Bowen Road. Interment will be 10:15 a.m., Monday, August 26, 2013 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
Jim was born on April 30, 1927 to James C. White Sr., and Jennie Noble White in Weatherford, Texas.
Jim attended and graduated from Weatherford High School. He graduated from TCU as well as Brite Seminary College then became an ordained minister. Other ranks and professions in which Jim held were his service to our country in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps during WWII, being a teacher in which he taught high school math and science for 17 years, as well as employment at Vought where he retired as an engineer. He also attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Albany, NY. Jim has been an active member at Fielder Road Baptist Church since 2004.
Jim loved Music! Jim loved to play the guitar and sing! A man whose life cannot be contained in mere words; unforgettable to those who met him; ingrained in those who knew him.
Jim is survived by wife of 46 years, Jo; 3 children, Tony Joe White and his wife Beth of Atlanta, GA, Terri White Taylor and Eddie Markwardt of Arlington, TX, and Jamie Ann Watson of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Noble White of Atlanta, GA, Cabot White of College Station, TX, Tess Taylor of Arlington, TX, Grayce Watson of Arlington, TX, Colin Watson of Arlington, TX, Janell Pendergast and husband Cyril of Arlington, TX, and Dylan Taylor of Arlington, TX; great granddaughter, Sophie Claire Pendergast of Arlington, TX; sister, Lu Quiett of Lake Worth, TX; brothers, Jack White and his wife Johanna of Fort Worth, TX, and Russ White and his wife Hope of Dallas, TX; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
