Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25th at Epworth Methodist Church 1400 S. Cooper St, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Planned Parenthood.
Jacki, the next to youngest of six children, was born October 28, 1926 in Baytown, TX to William Madison “Mack” and Armede Knowles. She attended school in Baytown and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. She married B.C. Voss in January of 1945. They briefly lived in Odessa, TX then moved to Fort Worth where they lived in Liberator Village where he began his engineering career with Consolidated Aircraft Corporation. In 1948 they moved to Arlington where they raised their family and lived for most of their 65 years of marriage.
In addition to being a wife and mother, Jacki was a volunteer for most of her adult life. She donated her time and efforts to the Girl Scouts, Planned Parenthood, MCA Hospital and her church, Epworth Methodist. She loved music and especially enjoyed singing in the church choir.
She was known for her love of family, sense of humor, generous nature and loyalty as a friend. Jacki was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, two brothers; sons, Paul Madison Voss and Andrew Van Voss; and daughter, Laura Voss Patrick. Her beloved husband, B.C., passed away last year.
Survivors: daughter, Benni Annette Newman; grandson, Justin Hibbs, his wife, Jennifer, and their sons, Harrison and Hudson; grandson, Shane Hibbs, his wife, Angie, and their daughter, Treese; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
