Funeral: 11:00 am Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home, followed by interment and US Air Force Military Honors at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
Memorials: Donations may be made in the name of Harold Morris to the ALS Foundation in memory of his beloved niece, Angela Lang.
Harold was born on June 15, 1930, in Jackson, Mississippi to William Morris and Pearl Drury. Harold served five years as a pilot in the Strategic Air Command during the Korean Conflict. After leaving the service, he returned to Mississippi State University where he graduated with a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering. While he was in the Airforce, he married his lovely wife of 59 years, Dolly Ann Shortridge. They then moved to Dallas, Texas, where he was employed by the Chance Vought Corporation (now Lockheed Martin) as a flight test engineer. Following 33 years of service, including assignments in El Paso, Texas and Warren, Michigan, he retired as Director of Test and Logistics in the LTV Missile Division. A devoted husband and father, he took great pride in the accomplishments of his four children, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Hal was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolly Ann Morris.
Survivors: his sons, Dr. David Morris, wife Robin, of Petoskey, Michigan, Dr. Allen Morris, wife Glenda, of Sacramento, California; daughters, Laura Jester, husband, Michael, and Amy Morris, both of Garland, Texas; brother, William, wife Rowena of Fairfax, Virginia; sisters-in-law, Vivian Williams, husband, Charles Williams of Madison, Mississippi, and Bertie Wade of Jackson, Mississippi, and many lovely nephews and nieces.
