Extremely strong and self-reliant, Dorothy led a storied life and was an inspiration to her family and friends. Not only was she a dedicated caregiver to her late husband, but she was also a loyal member of her church, Fielder Road Baptist. As a long-time member of Daughters of the Nile, she devoted many hours of her life ,even advancing to the position of Queen, to this organization which benefits the Shriners Hospital for Children.
She was first and foremost dedicated to her family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she put her family’s needs above her own. Her great granddaughters Maddie and Abbie gave her great joy, and she delighted in seeing them growing up.
