Debra was born on February 15, 1957 to Willie Martin Franklin and Robbie Marie Norris in San Angelo, Texas.
She graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1975.
Her passion was being a Hospice CNA (Certified Nurse’s Assistant) and she loved working with the Geriatric patients. She worked with Hospice for 20 years. She loved Hospice and she always said it was her mission here on earth and God placed her there.
She had to retire, and wasn’t happy about it, but she could no longer perform her duties as her Lupus no longer allowed her to.
She was a faithful member of The Redeeming Faith Missionary Baptist Church where she sung in the choir, she was the President of Pray Band, member of IWOG (Influential Women of God), as well as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher.
She met, fell in love and married Willie Fellow Fay, Jr. To this blended union came five children.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Willie Martin Franklin and Robbie Marie Norris, her oldest sister Frances Marie Kelley and her oldest brother, Willie Martin Franklin, Jr.
Those that remain to meet her as God calls their names are, Jo Ann Green, Daisy Wrenette Franklin and Sandra Laverne Love all of San Angelo, Texas. Floyd Franklin (Tanga) and Lloyd Franklin both of Fort Worth, Texas and Joyce Evans (Charlie) of Red Rock, Texas. Tamara Knox (Shawn) and Monica Franklin both of Fort Worth, Texas. Willette Tillman of High Point, North Carolina, Willie Fellow Fay III of Lubbock, Texas and Wendell Fay (La Prece) of Dallas, Texas. A number of grandkids and great grandkids. Very special friends Jackie Minor, Millie Howell, Rose Walker, Diana Jefferson and my special daughter April Lee. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews and my dear aunt, Mrs. Ophelia Bargley, the only living sibling of my mother.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.moorebowenroad.com for the Fay family.
