Service: Family, friends and the community are invited to celebrate Debby's life at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pantego Bible Church, with viewing 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the church. Interment: 11:30 a.m. in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington.
She was born to Frank and the late Norma Dennis on Aug. 13, 1948, in Marshall, Mo. Debby, as she was better known, graduated from the University of Mississippi in August 1970 with a BS in home economics. She married Armando Cervantes in 1972, and they lived in Indio, Calif., before relocating to Redding, Calif., where they had two children.
Upon their divorce in 1989, Debby moved to Arlington with their two children to be closer to her father, brother and sister. Debby married Kevin Hill in 2006, joining two families to include two other sons.
Debby was an entrepreneur and businesswoman, joining her sister in leading Dennis Enterprises, a successful landscape design and maintenance company until ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease forced her retirement in 2011.
She was an active member in Pantego Bible Church for 22 years, involving herself in many aspects of the church including youth and home group ministries. She loved her church family tremendously.
Debby also loved to vacation, visiting Mexico, Europe and the Bahamas in her travels. Debby also enjoyed hobbies like photography, cooking and fishing. Debby also treasured making memories with family at the Dennis family lake house, known as Casa de los Suenos.
Survivors: Children, Matthew Cervantes of Folsom, Calif., Shelly Cervantes of Dallas, and stepchildren, Brandon Hill of Jackson, Ga., and Austin Hill of Arlington; daughter-in-law, Christie Cervantes and granddaughter, Camryn; her husband, Kevin; brother, Chuck and Melinda Dennis of Denver, Colo.; sister, Lorri Dennis and Peggy Stephenson of Dallas; and brother, Todd and Melanie Dennis of Mansfield.
