David William Oehler, age 55, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021. David was born September 21, 1966. He died unexpectedly of COVID virus in his home at the age of 55, despite having all recommended vaccinations and strong health. David was born in 1966 and lived in Arlington, Texas. He is survived by father, Carl, and mother, Jane, his brother Paul, beloved nephews Patrick and Parker, and cousins.
David graduated from Lamar High School in 1985 and played varsity tennis. He was incredibly intelligent, hardworking, thoughtful, and humble. David earned 3 bachelor’s degrees in finance, marketing, and real estate from the University of Texas at Austin. He loved learning about the world and was always helpful to share his knowledge. He practiced commercial real estate in Dallas. David was key to many new developments in Dallas including high rise offices, arenas, and modern urban housing projects throughout downtown & uptown.
David never married. He was blessed to retire 10-years ago. Not satisfied with an average life, he shared his time and generosity with friends and family throughout his prime years. He especially loved world travel, tennis, swimming, music, his twin-turbo sportscar, volunteering at PGA golf tournaments, and his Schnauzer puppy Jake. He had boundless love and was deeply sentimental.
David was a member of the Methodist church, alumni of Texas Exes, member of National Huguenot Society, and member of National Society Magna Charta Dames & Barons.
