Memorial service: 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
Cynthia was born March 26, 1960, in Kittery, Maine, to Waverly and Gaynell Johnson. She professed her hope and dedicated her life to Christ at Faith Bible Fellowship where her family served for 22 years, under the pastorate of Dr. J.B. Horton. She joined New Life Restoration Ministries in 2010 under the pastorate of Pastor Tara L. Love.
Her family migrated shortly after her birth to Amarillo, where she was educated in the Amarillo school system. Cynthia was always joyful and inspired all who knew her with that gorgeous smile. She was also an active member of the Southeast Arlington Citizens on Patrol for 21 years. Her smile, courage and endurance inspired many over the years.
Survivors: She leaves to cherish her memory, her dedicated and devoted husband of 25 years, Freddy D. Whitley; her beautiful daughters, Aisha Scotto Di Carlo (Omar), Chelsea G. Whitley and Taylor C. Whitley; brother-in-law, Edward Signars (Bonnie); niece, Jaqueline Thigpen; great-nieces, Erika Humphreys and Alexia Thigpen; great-nephews, Johnathan Harding and Latraven Thigpen; devoted neighbor of 15 years, Mrs. Linda Peralez; and a host of friends.
