Carolyn Owens 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday October 30, 2022, in Burleson Texas where she was surrounded with love by her family.

Carolyn was born July 30, 1940, in Wichita Falls Texas to her parents RJ Clontz and Mary Lamb Clontz.

She lived in Fort Worth Texas for the last several years of her life. For years she worked in the Aerospace Industry as an Administrative Assistant, then finished her career at TGI Friday’s Corporate office in Dallas Texas as an Office Manager.

She enjoyed meeting with her Grand Prairie High School alumni at Miller Drug Store. She spent endless hours with her lifelong friend Judith Ersparmer Armstong telling stories, shopping and just enjoying one another’s company. She had a passion for dancing and was part of a Push Dance Club back in the 70’s.

Her true passion in life was loving her grandchildren. She attended marching band events, dance recitals, football games, basketball games, theater shows. Anything her grandchildren were involved in, she was there, and bragged to everyone who would hear her about them all.

She was diagnosed in 1995 with a life altering disease and had to be on disability. Her comment about the horrific disease was, “At least I will have more time to enjoy my grandchildren.” Later in life she was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia. She fought the disease as hard as anyone could to be around for her family.

Survivors include Daughter- Stacey K Owens of Fort Worth, TX; Brother Randy Clontz and sister- in-law, Becky Clontz of Dallas, Texas; Sons- Ronald Ray Owens, Fort Worth, TX- Scott Arden Owens of Oklahoma.

Eight grandchildren- Ashley Lewis, Matthew Owens, Anthony Hernandez, Joshua Owens, Athena Swickard, Mark Owens, Joey Lazo and Dillon Lazo. Six great grandchildren- Blake Johnson, Brooke Smith, Brinley Lewis, Kennedy Owens, Jackson Owens, Kai Hernandez, and one great-great grandchild- Tyler Johnson

She was preceded in death by her parents RJ and Mary Clontz, sister Linda Shanks Alley and grandson Michael Owens.
