Beverly Ann Phillips of Arlington, Texas passed away peacefully in the early hours of Friday, October 28, 2022. She was born on April 9, 1933, in Fort Worth, Texas to Horace and Anna Blanton. After graduating from Paschal High School in 1951, she married her beloved husband, James Henry Phillips Jr. of Ft. Worth, Texas, and with him, built an incredible life that included three children, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Beverly was a devoted grandmother, mother, and wife during her incredible 89 years of life, known for getting on the floor to play with her children, encouraging creativity in her grandchildren, and always having a kind word for everyone. In addition to spending time with her family, Beverly enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, putting together a puzzle (the more pieces, the better) and a good round of Skip-Bo or Uno. She is fondly remembered for her gentle nature, infectious laugh and beautiful sea-green eyes.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, James Henry Phillips Jr. of Arlington, Texas; three children, Robert Phillips and his wife Terri of Houston, Texas, Connie Lynette Crosby and her husband Ray of Arlington, Texas, and Donna Janelle Howard of Arlington, Texas; grand-children Troy James, Derick Phillips, Trulie Jackson, Amanda Bennett, Michael James, Lindsey El Hattab, Cody Bennett, Melissa Phillips-Johnson and Staci Butler, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, who all affectionately called her “Nana.”
Her spirit lives on in the many beautiful memories of her cherished friends and family.
