Service: A memorial service to honor Barbara will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, at St Joseph Catholic Church, 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington 76017.
Barbara was known for her strong spiritual conviction, perpetual courage, and a life lived to its fullest. She was an active member in the Catholic Church community, an indisputably devoted mother, loving grandmother and delightful friend. Barbara's family and friends were her life; she was admired and loved by everyone who knew her. Barbara was a gracious and delightful friend to all. She radiated the pure essences of life, and she will be profoundly missed.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Arthur McDeavitt, and son, Patrick Michael McDeavitt.
Survivors: Sisters, Janice Reed, June Hunter and her husband, Richard; brothers and their wives, Clarence and Mary Heppe, James and Joyce Heppe; daughters and their husbands, Celeste and John Gladych of Newport Beach, Calif., Mary Kay and Ray Garcia of Arlington; sons and their wives, Paul Jr. and Selina McDeavitt of Poolville, Michael and Sheri McDeavitt of San Diego, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of phenomenal family and friends. All of whom will cherish the memory of Barbara Ann McDeavitt; a woman that all women should aspire to emulate.
