Ann Bryan Wallace George was born July 9, 1935 in a farmhouse in East Texas to Charlie and Arlendy Lewis Bryan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Dale E. Wallace and also Joseph H. George. She graduated from Slocum High in 1953 as class valedictorian. She attended Draughn's Business College in Dallas and University of Texas in Arlington. She worked at the Dallas Morning News in the biographical department where she met many famous people who came to update their files. She later worked at Arlington Memorial Hospital for 22 years and Harris Methodist Hospital for 17 years in business operations. She then had her own business which she worked at until she was 82 years of age. She attended First United Methodist Church in Arlington and was a member of the adult bible class. She served as Worthy Matron of Arlington Chapter# 249, Order of the Eastern Star in 1973-1974. She was also a member of Crescent Chapter #820 OES in Ft. Worth, where she served as Worthy Matron in 2015-2016. In 2018, she moved to the Texas Masonic Retirement Community where she made many friends including Don Cox. The two of them loved to do everything together from serving the community to playing endless games of Skip Bo and dominoes. She lost her son, Ronnie Dale Wallace in 2017. She is survived by her daughters Judy Polentz of Waco, Tx and Susan Niemi of Arlington, Tx. She was the proud grandmother of numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and most recently a great great grand child. She was preceded in death by one Sister, Maudie Boswell of Waxahachie, Tx and one Brother, Carl Bryan of Palestine, Tx. A visitation for Ann will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
