A graveside inurnment at Moore Memorial Gardens will be held on Friday, March 18, at 10 a.m.
Addie was born May 5, 1930 in Nevada County, Arkansas to John and Hettie McDade. She married the love of her life, James Smith, and they had many happy years together until his passing in 2010. She worked at Bell Helicopter in accounting and retired after many years of dedicated service. She was also a member of a bowling league and won many trophies.
In her spare time, Addie and James loved to host and entertain friends and family at their home. She also loved cooking so much that she had two ovens. She had her own vegetable garden and would can her own green beans and other vegetables. After they retired, Addie and James enjoyed traveling and visited many states in the country.
Addie's main passion in life was her family. She adored all of them and could always be counted upon if someone was in need. Her kind and generous heart will be missed by so many.
Addie was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith; son, Rickie Smith; parents, John and Hettie McDade; sister, Ruth Voyles; and brothers, Arthur McDade and Joe McDade.
Survivors: son, Johnnie Smith and wife, Joyce; granddaughter, Rebecca Atkinson and husband, Douglas; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Jamie Atkinson; nephews, Morris Lee McCormick and wife, Linda, and Gary Smith and wife, Linda; niece, Sharon Brown and Carma Glascock; daughter-in-law, Connie VanEs and husband, Robert, and their son, Andrew; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
