William John Duffy

Bill was born in Chicago on September 4, 1934, to parents Walter and Victoria (nee Kowalski) Duffy. He married Dorothy “Dottie” Mackey on December 28, 1957, in Chicago, after meeting at Loyola University. Together they raised their six children in Arlington Heights. Bill was an accomplished Real Estate Lawyer for over 40 years, working in Mount Prospect before retiring in 1997. He loved nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and golfing. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. The Pink Panther was his sidekick, especially during his years at Addolorata Villa. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Bill Duffy, Diane (David) Desrosiers, Sharon (Jim) Markelonis, Katie Duffy, Meg (Anthony) Kubat, and Ted Duffy, and his five grandchildren, Claire Desrosiers, Henri Desrosiers, Sara Markelonis, Ben Markelonis, and Lilly Desrosiers.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Dottie Mackey, and his brother Walter (Georgiana) Duffy.

Burial was private at All Saints Cemetery.
