Patricia L. Moon

Patricia L. Moon was born on July 14, 1938 in Mason City, Iowa to Larry and Genevieve (nee Brinkman) Mason. She died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital - JourneyCare Hospice in Arlington Heights.

Pat taught elementary school for 24 years. Formerly as a teacher in District 15 and later as a teaching assistant with District 25. After retiring she volunteered at Northwest Community Hospital and babysat for her grandson.

Patricia is survived by her children, Matthew, Stacy and Michael (Chia-Wen) Moon; her grandchildren, Hunter Moon Schacherer and Aidan Moon; her brother Michael (MaryAnne) Mason, her two sisters; also survived by several nieces and nephews including her niece Bridget Mason and her nephew Michael Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Timothy Mason.

Visitation Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 8:30 am until time of prayers at 9:15 am at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road,(4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004 proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for 10:00 am Funeral Mass. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation, 5841 S. Maryland, MC 1140, Chicago, IL 60637.
