Mariane Leanes

Mariane graduated from St. Bartholomew grammar school in Chicago and Alvernia High School with honors. She received her bachelor degree in education from Northeastern.

She devoted most of her life in educating young children. Mariane taught in public schools in Prospect Heights for 8 years and at Our Lady of the Wayside for 25 years including religious education. She did girl scouts for several years. She was loved and appreciated by her students, friends, neighbors, and family. Mariane was a devoted catholic as a member of the Our Lady of The Wayside Parish.

Mariane is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Paul Leanes; children, Scott and Julie; grandchildren in order of age: Tyler, Hayley, twins Colin and Colette, and Aria.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Margaret Jones.

Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Family will meet at church for an additional visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 434 W Park St, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment to immediately follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
