Larry graduated from the University of Iowa in 1973 and enjoyed a successful advertising career at Sears for decades until he built his own advertising business. He was a gifted writer and designer. Larry was an avid reader and his knowledge and wisdom were endless. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, was “head chef” for the numerous events and holidays hosted at our house and fun-in-the sun vacations were his preferred choice of leisure. He had a passion for designing and landscaping our yard, spending hours on the deck alongside our beloved dog, “Gibby”, both admiring the work.
Larry married the love of his life Sveta in 1987 and spent the next 37 years raising a family of four boys. He was a wonderful grandpa to one grandchild and a beloved uncle to many. His family was his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife, Sveta Edel (Vidanovich); his children Ryan Edel, Sean Edel, Scott Edel, and Jason Edel; his grandchild Gawyn Edel and his siblings Tony (Carol) Edel, Thomas (Jeanine) Edel, Mary (Thomas) Skorczeski, David (Kathy) Edel and Carol (Jeremy) Park.
He is preceded in death by his parents Roger and Rita as well as his brothers Donald and Richard.
