To my dear friends the Wheelers, My family has been blessed to grow up on Wiegands Bay on Lake Wisconsin.  It is a part of me and I know it is a part of you.  I will  miss yelling to Jim from the end of my dock and the times he and I spent in the back of my boat as I watched Jim fix it.  Thank you for sharing your Dad and Husband with me.  I will miss him dearly.

I have never met Jim Wheeler, hardly ever spoke with him, but did receive emails when he would be looking for parts quotes for Toyoda Machinery. I will say this, you could tell just by the "thank you's" or appreciative comments when I assisted him. Emails through many years, one could tell that he was a nice guy, truly. I was very sad to hear of his passing. Never met him, but he is unforgettable.  My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

I was so sad to hear of Jim's passing. My parents were neighbors with him on Lake Wisconsin. Our families have know each other for many years. My prayers go out to his family!!

I grew up a few doors away from Jimmy in the old Southside Chicago neighborhood.  I remember how kind he was to everyone in the neighborhood.  I especially remember how kind and helpful he was to my cousin George who lived next door to him.  My cousin was disabled and his motorized scooter seemed breakdown often.  Jimmy always tinkered with it and got it going again.  Also, he spent many hours “hanging out” with George to keep him company.  I’m sure they are “hanging out” together in heaven talking about the good old days!

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with Jimmy’s entire family at this very sad time.

I was given the wonderful opportunity to work with Jim.During this time, I learned that he was always a man of integrity and kindness. His strength of character, conviction and passion for his family spoke volumes. I will always cherish and look back fondly upon the stories we shared about our children and their adventures.Jim was a true one in a million kind of friend.My prayers and thoughts are with his family today and the days to

What I remember best about Jim is what a handful he was when I babysat for him and what a wonderful young man he turned into.

There are so many thoughts of Jim that go through my head that it is hard to begin. I am sorry for the loss that Barb, Jimmy, Jason, and Julie have had. 

Jim was and always be a great man. He has had a big influence in my life with his advise and support. I am proud to say that Jim's advise has always and forever will have an influence with my life. I wish I had one more opportunity to thank him and let him know how much he meant to me. Reading this guest book, I am happy to see how much Jim meant to so many people.

I miss you Jim, but there will always be a place for you in my heart. Thank you again for everything!

I only knew Jim for a brief time that I was at Toyoda, but even in that short time he was very helpful and nice to me. He was always nice, helpful and thoughtful to others. He will be deeply missed. To the Wheeler family,
I knew Jim when he was at Danly Machine, over 25 years ago, and I honestly can say he was the most helpful, knowledgeble, intelligent and caring person I ever worked with or knew.  When I lost my job at Danly after 26 years, and with all of my networking contacts, Jim was the ONLY person to help me thru my difficult time trying to find another job.  He offered me a temperary position at Toyoda until I found a permanent position.  I will never forget him as the person he was and what he did for me.  I am sincerely sorry for your great loss, as he will be deeply missed by so many people.  I cannot imagine how difficult this sudden loss must be for his family. He was also so proud to have such a wonderful family.  He was a great always giving person and I was truely blessed and honered to have known him as a "mentor" and friend. Please accept my sincere condolences on Jims passing. Jim had a lasting influenced on my life at and away from Toyoda. I know many others would say the same; I will miss him.

My heart is broken. Jim Wheeler was my mentor, colleague and loyal friend from my first day at Toyoda (10/1990). He will always be my "hero"(my "Gibbs" to all you NCIS fans) in the truest sense. With a wicked-sharp mind, humor, honesty and prudence he was a incredible leader, guide and reference for when I needed direction or guidance; he never turned me away empty handed. He was indeed a "Beautiful Mind"; a virtual walking encyclopedia. I don't remember him ever not having the best, truest, most effective answer to whatever I brought to him to resolve.

His unwavering loyalty, fierce friendship, sense of duty, ethics and professionalism will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working with him.

He was a great gentleman with a heart to match and may he rest in peace and in God.

Having known and worked with Jim for many years, I am truly saddened at this tragic loss.  Jim was one of my very favorite and most respected associates and business friends.
