After graduating college, Frank worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Illinois Tool Works in Des Plaines, Illinois, and dedicated 20 years of service to the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Frank is survived by Son Robert L. (Jessica) Pliml; grandchildren Rylee and Jaelyn; nieces Janet (Johnny) Ransdell, Andrea (nee Pipek) Evelo and nephews Marc (Sohee) Pehowski, Rich Pipek; sister Victoria (Joseph) Pipek; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo (nee Pehowski), brother John Pliml, and his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 14 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers will take place on Tuesday, October 15 at 9:15 AM with a memorial mass to follow, starting at 10:00 AM, at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association, or Alzheimer’s Association.
