Elizabeth shared 67 years of marriage with the late Howard M. Richardson and was a loving mother to Linda (Mark) Hengesh, Jim (Susan) Richardson, and Bruce (Trish) Richardson; beloved grandmother to Allison (Tony) Tranchita, Sarah Hengesh, Benjamin Richardson, Eleanor Richardson and the late Ashley Campbell as well as great-grandmother to Maisie Elizabeth Grace Tranchita and dear sister to the late Muriel Ellen (Rod) Matz and fond aunt to Machonne (Paul) Williams and Henning Matz IV.
Elizabeth met her husband at Albion College, in Albion Michigan where she graduated with a degree in Psychology in 1952. Elizabeth had a great passion for community, family, friends and faith. Elizabeth loved working with children and was a preschool teacher at the First United Methodist Church Preschool for 21 years, retiring in May of 1995. In retirement she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
A Memorial Greeting will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
A reception will follow immediately after the service in the Gathering Space at the church.
Interment will be private.
