Douglas Zachary Peters, 43, of Algonquin was the cherished son of Susan (Robert) Svetlik and Harry (Ann) Peters; loving brother of Steven (Cynthia) Svetlik, and Jessica (Ryan) Kelly and caring nephew of Tammy (Gary) Kroll. Doug loved animals, especially his dogs Peeps, Eddie, and Kanook. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was kind hearted, and faithful until the end for those he loved. Friends and family will gather Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 3:00 pm until time of remembrances, 5:00 pm, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
