David K. Abt

David was the loving father of Evan (Ali) Abt, Jared (Joanna) Abt and Marisa (Silas) Kuchta; cherished grandfather of Cooper, Liam, Molly and Emma Abt, and dear brother of Christine Abt and Karen (David) Clarbour.

David was a 1968 graduate of Arlington High School; a 1972 graduate of Beloit College with a bachelors in science, where he was a member of Beta Theta PI fraternity; in 1973 he earned a masters of science degree in economics at Wichita State University. David married in 1984; twin boys, Evan and Jared, were born in 1991, followed by daughter, Marisa, in 1994. His career was as a data base administrator until 2008, when he moved back to Arlington Heights to be near his family. He was a long-time member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and participated as a Stephen Minister there. In Jan 2013, David became a Master Mason, who helped to raise money for multiple charities. He was preceded in death by his father, Karl, and mother, Donna.

Memorial visitation with be Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 10:30 AM at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 916 E Central Road, Arlington Heights. A private interment will follow at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
