Anthony J. Livorsi, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, at the age of 94 in Park Ridge, IL. Born on May 27, 1930, in Chicago, IL. Dedicated father and husband, Marine Corps Veteran, transformational coach. Anthony loved sports, especially his beloved White Sox, Bears, and Notre Dame.
He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Ann Tamburrino Livorsi. Loving father of Jeanne Livorsi-Moore, Tony (Amy) Livorsi, Mary Pat (Pete) Livorsi Link, and Catherine C. (Kurt) Schlueter. Proud grandfather of Nick (Courtney) Moore, Michelle (Troy) Moore Paris, Monica Livorsi, Ben Livorsi, J.J. Link, Cecilia Schlueter, and Alaina Schlueter. Doting great-grandfather to Troy Anthony Paris, Paisley Olivia Paris, and Elsa Joy Moore. Dear brother of the late Peter (Henrietta) Livorsi and Thomas (Mary Kay) Livorsi. Brother-in-law to Mary Terese (the late John) Pfister.
Anthony's professional life was characterized by meticulous craftsmanship and a profound work ethic. He began his career as a skilled watchmaker, a trade that demanded precision and patience, qualities that Anthony exemplified in every aspect of his life. Later, he transitioned to working in a laboratory at Sears, where he applied his keen attention to detail and his passion for problem-solving. His colleagues at Sears remember him as a man of integrity and a mentor to many.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Anthony was an active member of the St. Isaac Jogues Men's Club. His involvement in the club was not merely a pastime but a reflection of his commitment to service, his faith and community. Anthony's contributions to the club's initiatives and events left a lasting impact, and his presence will be deeply missed by his fellow members.
Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. An additional visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Saint Alphonsus Liguori Church, 411 N Wheeling Rd, Prospect Heights, IL 60070. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
