Alice Anne (Foley) Hebert was born on August 10, 1931 in Carbondale, Illinois to Daniel and Jean (nee Smith) Foley. She died Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at The Moorings Health Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Anne received both BS and MA degrees from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She taught English, French and Latin in the Chicago Public Schools system, at Milliken University and was an Adjunct Professor at Dominican University in River Forest, IL. Prior to her teaching career, Anne worked for the International Film Bureau in Chicago. Her many memberships included The American Society of the French Academic Palms, The American Association of Teachers of French as well as the IL Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
Annie is survived by her niece, Amy (James) Pritchard, niece, Beth (Pat) Steagall, nephew, Dan (Laurie) Vaughn, and nephew, Chris (Jackie) Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Hebert; sister, Mimi Vaughn and her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday November 11, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 2335 N. Orchard Chicago, IL 60614.
