Doris Jean Rigaud

Doris Jean Rigaud, age 73, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 at her residence following a year of declining health.

Doris was born in Guilford County, October 16, 1950, a daughter of the late Joe and Ruth Lester Williams.

She retired from Caraustar Packaging after many years of service as the customer service manager. Doris loved the beach, reading and especially enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed family gathering, cooking and hosting. Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Mounce.

Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years, George V. Rigaud, Jr.; her daughter, Tammy R. Morgan and spouse David; her son, George "Buddy" Rigaud, III and spouse Karen; two sisters, Ann Hefner and Shirley White; three grandchildren, Chris, Ashton and Sarah; three great grandchildren, August, Thea and Lincoln; several nieces and nephews and Junior the pup.

A Celebration of Doris's life will be held Friday, August 23 at 7 p.m. at Advantage Funerals and Cremations by Pastor Tim Landreth. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. prior the service. Online condolences may be made at Advantagearchdale.com.
