Rosa Jane Moree McClain, 88, of Eustis, Florida and formerly of Apopka, Florida passed away on August 25, 2022. Rosa was born on July 9, 1934 in Riviera Beach, Florida to the late Mrs. Iva Delphinia Fox Moree and Mr. James Alexander Moree.
She was a graduate of Palm Beach High School in West Palm Beach, Florida. She loved to cook, especially her famous Macaroni and Cheese and Chocolate Chip Cookies. She had a special interest and passion for Missions, both domestic and international and was involved through the Cooper City Church of God, in Cooper City, Florida. She retired as the Office Manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance with 43 years of service. After retiring, she and LeRoy moved from Hollywood, Florida to Apopka, Florida where they attended Crossroads Community Church in Apopka and Park Avenue Church of God in Apopka. She went back to work part-time at Farm Bureau Insurance. Rosa loved people and they loved her. Her infectious laugh and smile could light up a room.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, LeRoy McClain; Parents, Iva Delphinia Fox Moree and James Alexander Moree; Sisters, Joyce Adaline Moree Franklin, Bessie Elizabeth Moree Long, and Beverly Rochelle Moree Bird.
Rosa is survived by her Brother, Rev. Christopher Columbus Moree and his wife Sarah of Arley, AL ; Sister, Bertha Ushanee Moree Fussell of Green Cove Springs, FL; Brother in Law, Douglas Bird of Galax, VA; Brother in Law, Tom McClain and his wife Carmen of Sacramento, CA, several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Apopka, Florida.
Life Celebration Services For Rosa McClain will be conducted on Thursday, September 1 at 11:00 AM at the Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Apopka, Florida with Reverend Dwight Allen, Reverend Clinton Scott and Reverend Douglas Bird officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday morning at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Apopka.
