Joe, 78, went to be with the Lord on August 4th in Apopka. A rescue helicopter pilot in the Air Force, he later became a Chicago Policeman. In radio he was "Captain" Joe, announcing rush hour conditions in WMAQ's traffic helicopter. He was also president of the Lynx bus driver's union. A gathering of family and friends will take place Wednesday, Aug. 8th from 5 - 8 pm at Baldwin Fairchild 601 N. Park Ave in Apopka. Services at 11 am Thursday, Aug. 9th at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 750 Roger Williams Road in Apopka. Donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice of the Comforter or Give Kids the World.
