Barbara Jean Bogue Rodgers was born to Leland and Aloma (Schaefer) Bogue in Muskegon, MI in 1953. Barbara passed away in Apopka, FL at the age of 68.
After graduation from Mona Shores High School, Barbara joined the United States Marine Corps where she met her husband Gary Rodgers, who was also a Marine. Upon leaving the service, they moved to Florida where they have lived for 42 years. Barbara continued her education and earned a BS in Accounting and an MBA from Florida Metropolitan University.
Barbara in survived by Gary, her husband of 43 years: their daughter Dana Broxterman (John), and two grandsons, Ian and Logan. She is also survived by her stepmother, Bertha Bogue; her sister Janet Boyer (Al), and 3 brothers: Howard Bogue (Kay), David Bogue (Mary Beth) and Douglas Bogue (Phomma).
In light of the pandemic, funeral services or a viewing will not be held. A small gravesite memorial for family and close friends will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, where she will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of Barbara.
