William Edward "Bill" Moore Jr.

William Edward “Bill” Moore, Jr., age 79, passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Born on January 1, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois; he was the son of the late William Edward Moore and Caryl Blade Moore.

Bill played basketball at the University of Oklahoma. He grew up in Southern California where he met his wife, Pamela. They raised three sons and two daughters in various locations including Oregon, California, Washington, Illinois, and Arizona.

His passion and employment always involved sports and sports management. He was the general manager for a hockey club in the Western Hockey League for several years, and ultimately transitioned into representing professional athletes. In that capacity, he helped athletes in numerous sports with contract management, employment and financial development. Baseball was his primary focus, and he supported clients throughout the world. His time spent scouting, coaching, watching ball games, communicating with coaches and management across professional baseball leagues was important to clients at all levels. He supported international teams by identifying talent that could support their needs and led to numerous championships for the teams he helped.

Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years: Pamela Ann Moore; children: Casey and Michelle Moore (Atlanta, Georgia), Kerry and Anne Moore (Austin, Texas), Kelly Moore (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Cameron Moore (Holly Springs, North Carolina) and Kristine Moore (Scottsdale, Arizona); grandchildren: Cole and Ashlyn Moore (Plano, Texas), Canyon Moore (Nashville, Tennessee), Nola Moore and Maeve Moore (Austin, Texas), and Lleyton Moore and Louis Moore (Holly Springs, North Carolina); great-grandchildren: Katelyn Moore (Plano, Texas); brother: Charles J. Moore (Newport Beach, Oregon) and other extended family and friends.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Bill towards Transitions LifeCare Hospice (www.transitionslifecare.org) or the Carolina Junior Hurricanes (www.carolinajuniorhurricanes.org).
