Tony was born on November 24, 1942 in Jacksonville, NC to the late Thomas Hill Edwards and Mattie Lanier Edwards. He was a Senior Computer Systems Analyst with WakeMed of Raleigh.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Markey Edwards; daughter, Amy Edwards Smith (Andy); son, Greg Edwards (Amanda); and grandchildren, Greyson Thomas Edwards, Abigail Elizabeth Edwards and Amanda Smith.
The family will receive friends and guests on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Westwood Baptist Church, Cary, NC. A mausoleum service will be Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 10:30AM at Raleigh Memorial Park, Raleigh, NC.
